The Discovery

Today we embark on the journey taken never before, and while we know there is little we can do about what's going on, we are restless.

We are looking forward to the time when this will end the old normal returns
There might be no old normal left any more.
Nothing gone is ever the same again.
A new normal awaits us.
When?
Is for nature to say,
Only if you can listen to her.

I've always believed that my perception of time, our definition of urgency and laid-back is very different from that of time's itself. We're but a small part of earth's existence, and even smaller part of the universe itself.
Consider this and you might want to step away from your me-filled lives and give some time to parallel thought process.

Nature operates out of a different definition of urgency and an altogether altered way of transition to new times.
No matter how much you think about it, it will always turn out be planned and step-after-step in hindsight.
Even though it doesn’t seem that way when it happens.

Shutdown seems crazy enough, since it’s happened the first time with us. We do not know where this is taking us, and honestly we do not know what to do with the newfound discovery. The discovery of non-hurried existence.

When I look at my family struggling with the same discovery, I cannot help but realize that we've actually stopped living the life of slow.
The many things which have taken shape in the past 15 odd years, have made us dissociate from the quintessential existence & importance of slow in our lives.
Slow is the real amrit. Slow is always around.

When you look out of your window, you listen to life which you've ignored. The life you realized was important, but never believed in. To listen to yourself breathe in these sounds is like consuming manna, serene.

There are few who've started living in this parallel thought process, while some continue their journey otherwise. Life is much different for a lot of us, our lens' all unique.

In Pursuit

While the whole world waits, we pursue... This time has given us an unasked-for freedom, to chose what to do with it. We have, gained some & lost some. We have, availability of time & lack of physical mobility. We have, a difficult decision to make. While many are in denial of it all. Where there are hoards whiling away their moments, waiting for the old normal, in pursuit of the past, there are also some who are willing to do away with the thought of the bygone. The acceptance of change(also read as "new") is the first step in many directions it brings. There are those who have contacted old chums, one's who they've always wanted to go on with. The fast lanes they were in wouldn't allow it. Now is the realization, than a mere intention to get in touch with old pals is enough to do so. There are those who have loved & always ran to the hills and the beaches, hating their 4 walls, the fast currents of their rapid-ful river of a life bl...

The problem of plenty

We’ve been on this earth for a very long time. Of the 200 billion odd galaxies in the universe, our milky way is just one, There are around 400 billion planets in this galaxy, and the earth is just one, Of the 8.7 million species on earth, humans are just one, And of the 22,500 parts* of time that earth has existed, we’ve been here for just one. Of all the species on this planet, the one responsible for natural resources depletion is again just one. What is depletion of natural resources? Resource depletion  is the consumption of a resource faster than it can be replenished. And we have achieved marvelous feats in the past 260 odd years since the start of industrial revolution in 1760. We mostly realize glaring truths when we get stuck. Like the importance of empathy, blue skies and non-commercial living in the past 12 odd days. Is it really impossible to survive on this planet for the next 260 years without exhausting resources here? ...
